Nurturing Young Minds: The School Environmental Club Initiative

In addition to our key activities and achievements, we are pleased to highlight the establishment of the School Environmental Club for Mocassir School in Mogadishu. Recognizing the importance of educating younger generations about environmental issues, Action for Environment initiated this program with the aim of creating awareness and fostering environmental education among children.

Throughout the year, the School Environmental Club at Mocassir School engaged students in various activities such as tree planting, waste management campaigns, and educational workshops on climate change and sustainability. These activities aimed to instill a sense of responsibility, environmental consciousness, and sustainable practices among the participating students.

are delighted to report that the program has been successful thus far. The School Environmental Club at Mocassir School has made a positive impact on the students, empowering them to become advocates for the environment within their school and communities. The club members have actively participated in environmental initiatives and have demonstrated their commitment to preserving the environment.

Building upon this success, Action for Environment aims to expand the School Environmental Club initiative to other schools across Somalia in the upcoming years. By reaching out to more educational institutions, we hope to create a broader network of environmentally conscious students who will contribute to sustainable development and environmental conservation in their communities.

We believe that investing in the environmental education of young children is crucial for building a sustainable future. By equipping them with knowledge and empowering them to take action, we can cultivate a generation that is environmentally aware and actively engaged in protecting our planet.
